Most Satisfying Part of my Practice: I enjoy helping my patients save their teeth and chew more comfortably. Today's surgical techniques using bone grafting and soft tissue manipulation are helping many more people avoid the frustrations of dentures. Even more exciting than saving teeth attacked by gum disease is the development of new pharmaceutical drugs that make surgery unnecessary. When I see patients with serious, painful dental problems finish their course of treatment and come to me with a big smile on their face, then I feel good too.
Most Satisfying Case: Several years ago a 14 year old boy with a cleft palate came to our clinic. He was very frightened, but determined to no longer live with the large hole in the roof of his mouth that made chewing and speech so difficult for him. I worked closely with a University orthodontic dentist to move teeth, graft tissue and create a completely new roof of his mouth. The treatment took several years and multiple surgeries. Finally my work was finished and with his new ability to speak clearly, he thanked me and smiled a bright smile.
My Special Story: I was born in Nepal, and lived in several different countries while growing up. I have found that my experiences with different cultures, customers and languages have helped in treating a wide variety of patients and really understanding their needs, throughout my academic and professional career. I am pleased to be practicing at HealthPark Dentistry, and I am pleased to have the opportunity to use my skills to provide quality periodontal care for HealthPark patients.
